Members are expected to follow the rules and regulations of both the sim and fleet at all times, both in character and out of character. By continuing, you affirm that you will sim in a proper and adequate manner.

Members who choose to make ultra short posts, post very infrequently, or post posts with explicit content (above TV-MA) will be removed immediately, and by continuing, you agree to this. In addition, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we do not accept players under the age of 18. Any players found to be under the age of 18 will be immediately removed without question. By agreeing to these terms, you are also saying that you are above the age of 18.

According to Bravo Fleet's guidelines, and rules that the Ochoa have put in place, character concepts with any of the following traits will be automatically rejected based on bylaws:

- Characters with a background of being an omnipotent, omnipresent or multidimensional origin: (Q, Dowd, Apollo, etc). This is true even if they have "forgotten" or otherwise had their powers taken away.
- Characters with a background that would directly contradict known Bravo Fleet and Memory Alpha/Beta canon: (a Ferengi officer in 2258, a member of the Changeling/Founder species, etc).
- Characters of a multifandom/panfandom place of origin (ex: Colony of Kobol) or of a panfandom species (ex: Wookies or Chiss).
- Characters who are members of an uplifted animal species (the same as genetic experiments on Humans).
- Characters of an excessive multi-species background or questionable hybridization. Examples would include no half-Klingons (it is 2258 after all) or half-Andorian/Vulcans, etc.
- Declared "Augments" or other unnecessary genetic experiments (the Federation does not allow genetic modification except in the case of saving a fetus' life). Undeclared Augments run the (nearly certain) risk of being discharged immediately from service when their status is discovered.
- Characters with artificial, positronic intelligence (Soong-type Androids or an alien equivalent) or other recursive learning AIs.
- Characters from the "Mirror-Mirror" Universe (otherwise known as the Terran Empire Universe).
- Characters deemed to be "overly disruptive" who probably could not have made their way onto a Federation starship- oversexualized, deliberately insubordinate, excessively violent, obviously sociopathic etc.
- Characters of obvious, direct ancestors or descendants of famous characters (Archer's grandchild, the great-grandfather of Jean-Luc Picard).

Characters that you CAN do, but doing so may cause your character to come under extra scrutiny:

- Characters with partial or full cybernetic conversion ARE possible (such as Airiam), almost certainly for medical reasons (accident, disability/war injury or disease).
- Characters of a species whose First Contact timeline with the Federation is not clearly understood. You can fudge things. For example: were Betazoids members of the Federation in the 2250's? We don't know. But its reasonable to think they were at least on friendly terms.
- Characters from nonaligned species (Orions, etc) with enough reason for their presence aboard ship (possibly as civilians or members of the Interspecies Medical/Science Exchanges). Please keep in mind feasibility. A Nausicaan cannot serve on the Ochoa, ever, for example.
- Undeclared Augments- with the caveat of understanding that it is likely they WILL eventually be found out and discharged from service. It's impossible to hide that kind of past forever.
- Characters from a temporal or quantum event other than the "Temporal Cold War" or the "Terran Empire." Please keep in mind feasibility. A twentieth century person awoken from stasis will be as disadvantaged as a medieval peasant would now.
- Joined Trill. We do not know the status of the Trill species as allies but canon sources (Short Treks) suggest a few Trill were at least in service. However, Joined Trill will present a major obstacle and how it is kept within the confines of established canon is on you (and probably the Chief Medical Officer who is going to totally notice the giant worm-like parasite living in your stomach).
- Characters from a previously unseen or unknown alien species (either canon or original). Please contact the CO and XO with details.
- Previously established, minor canon species which have been "re-imagined" to a degree. (ex: Gideonites who have some kind of alien feature beyond looking Human, or perhaps finally showing just what a "Berellian" is and why they are inept with machinery).
